I recently purchased a robot here which initially worked without any issues. The mobile app connected properly, both via AP mode and Router mode, and I was able to use the robot normally.
However, after performing a firmware update, the connection between the app and the robot stopped working entirely. Since that update, the robot has become practically unusable.
The robot itself powers on and appears to be in a normal status (lights and indicators look fine).
But the app crashes immediately whenever it tries to connect to the robot β this happens in both AP mode and Router mode.
As a result, I can no longer establish any connection, and the robot cannot be controlled at all.
In short, the firmware update has caused the app to become incompatible or unstable, making the robot unusable even though the hardware itself seems to be fine.
I have tried everything from unistall the app to update the ios oft the iphone - nothing helps. Any ideas?
Yes, we are getting complaints of this issue. It seems that the latest Unitree app is causing the mobile apps to crash we are currently requesting/pushing Unitree for an urgent fix.
Hi,
I am trying to connect with my go2_edu, but facing same issues. I have done firmware update on go2 as well as I have done the IOS app update from appstore, yet it is not connecting. Even tried doing AP mode or wifi mode connection. Still no connection.
Has unitree resolved the issue or yet pending?
Anybody facing similar issue?
If you have, please update your app to the latest version. then use ap mode or sta-l mode to connect the robot
If you need to use STA-T mode, please refer to the following link:
If you need to use STA-T service, please update the app first and make sure the public network remote connection switch is enabled in the app under Device β Data β Permission Management β Public Network Remote Connection.
Otherwise, STA-T will not work.
This update mainly improves data security as follows:
The default status of the OTA service and STA-T remote control service has been changed to off.
The OTA service can be enabled in the app under Device β Service Status.
The STA-T remote control service can be enabled in the app under Device β Permission Management.
