I would like to seek the advice of specialists.
Can any sensor and its software be easily used to measure the contours of large objects?
I will take a simple example:
Contour Gauge
I would like to be able to recreate simple shapes with large dimensions in a CAD system without the need for 3D scanning.
It also does not need high measurement accuracy, only a general outline of the shape in approximate dimensions.
For example, by placing such a sensor in front of or inside of a large excavator bucket, i would like to get its internal shape in any 2D CAD format.
I want it to be a simple sensor that can be easily connected to a laptop / smartphone with dedicated software. Without recreating something using e.g. a raspberry pi.
