Hello everybody!
I’m new here in the MyBot forum.
I have a crazy idea to purchase Unitree Go1 or Go2 dog and replace its legs with the legs of quite different structure. That is - to use the chassis with onboard computer, sensors and feedbacks as they are, but to mount differently and respectively reprogram the motors for new leg configuration.
Is it possible, what do you think?
Thank you in advance.
The onboard computer for controlling the legs is a black box. Most likely you have to use the expansion dock pc or your own pc connected to the GO2s main pc to access it.
GO1 is said to possess low level motor operation mode: docs.quadruped.de/projects/go1/doc/software_packages.rst
That are for the separately puchased unitree go1 motors. You can check it online not for the inbuilt ones as they are usually id locked for their legs.
So, I purchase GO1, I remove its legs including the inbuilt motors, I purchase separate motors (the same but not id-locked), mount them on the chassis in a new composition, and… What? What do I do next?
