[UNITREE GO1] ip-address configuration

Hello there!

We just bought a go1 edu robot and I wold like to connect it to an existing network with other ROS devices.
Would changing the default ip-address have any side effects internally?

Yes, it will effect the manufacturer predefined settings such as web interface and most likely the internal wifi hotspot will not work correctly. It may effect the camera feed but i haven’t tested that yet.

I would advise to leave the network the same and perhaps connect it to an external router and provide the ROS connection through there. This way you’ll have all the default features as well as ROS.
