Motor Driver recommendations for two LINIX PMDC motors

Hey everyone,

I have two LINIX PMDC motors (model 90ZY24-350D, 24V, 300W, 185rpm) and I’m looking for a proper motor driver to handle their current demands. I did a quick test by hooking one directly to a 12V battery with a load (weights) and measured around 110A under peak conditions. My final setup will be a 24V system, so I did the math by taking 110A * 12V to get the wattage (1320 W), then dividing that by 24V to get roughly 55A. I am no expert with motors, so, is my amperage calculation correct?

Because of that, I’m searching for a driver that can reliably handle at least 60A continuous (preferably with some overhead). I tried some low-cost “100A-rated” motor drivers from AliExpress, but they all ended up burning out, likely because their ratings were exaggerated/fake and not meant for continuous operation at high current.

If anyone has recommendations for a robust, reliable motor driver that can handle this current (the more, the better?), I would really appreciate it! Ideally, I’d like something with either built-in thermal protection, current limiting, or something similar, so I can protect the driver (and my wallet) in the long run.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
