Go2: External power supply procedure (like GO1 24V/20A) + battery discharge connector part number?

Hi everyone,

I am writing my bachelor’s thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute IISB in Germany, where I am developing a solid-state-battery-based replacement pack for the Unitree Go2. Our institute owns a Go2, and I am currently analyzing the original BT2-05 battery and its interfaces. I have three questions I could not resolve through the official documentation:

  1. External power supply for the Go2?
    Your GO1 documentation describes an external power supply procedure for development purposes (battery removed, 24V/20A via the XT30 ports on the robot’s back). Is there an equivalent procedure for the Go2? Specifically: is the 2-pin “Output Power Interface” (DC 28.8V) on the Go2’s back directly connected to the battery bus, and can the robot be powered through it (or through the battery bay contacts) from a bench power supply without a battery inserted? Does the Go2 require any BMS communication/handshake to boot, or does it accept plain DC like the GO1?

  2. Discharge connector part number?
    The battery’s discharge interface is a 12-position blade socket (opening approx. 37.2 x 10 mm, approx. 3.0 mm pitch, 4x M3 mounting). Does anyone know the manufacturer or part number of this connector, or a compatible mating part? I could not find it in any public catalog.

  3. Spare parts availability?
    Can the BMS board and/or the discharge connector board of the BT2-05 be ordered separately as spare parts?

Any pointers, documentation, or experience reports would be greatly appreciated. Happy to share measurement results from our analysis in return.
