Unitree G2 Pro: Wi-Fi Mode Setup Always Fails (AP Mode Works Fine)

Hello,
I am having a persistent issue with the Wi-Fi setup on my Unitree G2 Pro.

I can successfully connect the robot in AP Mode using the Unitree App on an iPhone 17 Pro Max (latest iOS, latest Unitree app version). In AP Mode, control and connection work as expected.

However, Wi-Fi Mode never completes successfully. After entering my home Wi-Fi SSID and password, the configuration process runs for about 1–2 minutes and then always fails/timeouts.

To avoid a local network issue, I have already tried the following:
• 2.4 GHz only (no 5 GHz for the robot)
• Separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz on my router (FRITZ!Box 6690)
• Disabling all mesh repeaters and testing next to the main router (robot and phone within 1 meter)
• Rebooting router, robot and iPhone
• Testing with a simple WPA2 password on a dedicated 2.4 GHz guest network
• Manually entering SSID and password in the app
• Keeping the phone connected to the same 2.4 GHz network during the whole Wi-Fi setup process

AP Mode always works, but Wi-Fi Mode never finishes successfully, even under these controlled conditions.

It now looks like a software/firmware or compatibility problem rather than a configuration issue.
Could you please review this and provide updated instructions or a fix?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers, Andreas
