Problem with sabertooth 2x32

Hello everyone!
I am building a crawler with sabertooth 2x32 using two wheelchair motor with electromagnetic brake and a RC transmitter.
The problem comes when I am trying to drive the motors.

  • When I give 0 throttle = the brakes are braking
  • When I give little throttle = the brakes are not braking and the motors are running freely but slow.
  • When I give medium → maximum throttle = the brakes are braking

When I have the robot on the ground and try to turn the robot with for example right side forward driving and left side backwards driving the brakes start braking directly.

My conclusion is that the brakes start braking when the amps gets to a certain level.

What might the problem be?
I did activate the “Brakes mode” in DEScribe earlier,
The DIP switches are set to 1=off, 2=on, 3=off, 4=on, 5=off, 6=on
